| John Paskin, Publican My Paskin kin go back to (at least) 1745, Alrewas, with the birth of my maternal 5 x g.grandfather Samuel Paskin who married Ruth Edgely abt 1771 All Saints, Alrewas. Both buried All Saints, Alrewas. Their son John b.abt 1771 (my 4 x g.grandfather), in the 1841 census, was Publican "Bulls Head" (tavern?), Fradley, Alrewas, Staffs. The Paskins were variously farmers and publicans. I can find no information about the "Bulls Head". I would also very much like to know whether there are still Paskins living around this area. Greatly appreciate any information for family research purposes. Kind regards ..... Elizabeth Broadway, Victoria, Australia. | ||

| Common Lane double yellow lines. Does anyone know what happened to the long standing plan to paint double yellow lines between the two traffic roundabouts in Common Lane? Reply from Fradley and Streethay Parish Council Clerk Yes Colin I received the following information earlier this week from Staffordshire County Council "I can advise that the implementation of the proposals has been programmed for 5th September. The Traffic Order will be implemented on that date with the signs and lines programmed accordingly. The lining may actually be provided shortly before or after that date depending on weather conditions and progress of any other schemes in the area. Regards.
